In Lake Toba, there are five islands, Samosir Island(the populated one), Tulas Island, Sibandang Island, Malau Island, and Tolping Island, meaning that Lake Toba is undeniably abundant with panoramic views. Lake Toba is not only the most prominent volcanic lake in the world but also one of the deepest lakes in the world, ranked in ninth place. It is so big that it connects seven regencies of NorthSumatra. Mount Toba’s third eruption caused its existence, and until today Mount Toba is still reportedly an active volcano. Despite its danger, local people are living around Lake Toba, keeping the area bright and full of life.
